Snelling Industrial Painter/Blaster in Homewood, Alabama
Snellingis searching for an exceptionalProduction Painter/Blastersin the Trussville, AL area.The starting pay range is between $22.00-30.00/hr, depending on experience, with advancement opportunities.
Production Painter/Blasters Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for accepting onlypartsthatare properly prepared for paint
- Responsible formanuallymoving partsthrough the painting, flashing, and drying sections of the paint system
- Responsible for the entire paint process including but not limited to:
- mixing paints and solvents according to the manufacturers specifications
- correctoperationof automated mixing equipment
- application ofliquidpaint to meet specificationsusing electrostatic and traditional paint guns
- assuringthose partsreside in the flashing and drying sections of the paint systemfor thespecifiedtime
- inspection of work and correction to work as necessary
- periodic cleaning/flushing of paint/solvent delivery systems as required
- Responsible for having the maintenance of all paint system equipment accomplished as specified, whether scheduled with the Maintenance Department or as part of the paintwork process
- Assist as needed in all areas of the paint line operations
Production Painter/BlastersSkills and Attributes Required for:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to perform strenuous repetitive work
- Ability to work while wearing a respirator and protective clothing
- Must pass pulmonary function test and respirator fit test
- Should possess an attention to detail and a desire to produce high-quality parts
- Vocational trainingin industrial/automotive paintingor 2+ yearsexperience in this field
