Job Title: Mechanical Assembler

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler with at least 1 year of experience in using air tools and mechanical assembly, particularly involving hydraulics. The role involves mounting bodies and various parts onto chassis using basic hand tools and air tools. This includes the assembly of truck bodies, water tanks, toolboxes, and other parts of various sizes. The position is physical, requiring bending, lifting up to 50lbs, stooping, working on knees, and working at heights and in small spaces.

Responsibilities

  • Mount bodies and various parts onto chassis using basic hand tools and air tools.

  • Assemble parts, mount bodies, run hydraulic lines, and drill parts.

  • Complete basic 12v electrical wiring.

  • Follow blueprints and schematics for assembly.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Essential Skills

  • 1+ year experience with air tools.

  • 1+ year mechanical experience, specifically in hydraulic assembly.

  • 1+ year assembly or relevant experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Basic mechanical ability.

  • Willingness to learn and adapt.

  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.

Work Environment

This is a non-climate controlled facility where employees must be able to work in all conditions, including cold winters and hot summers. The company assembles mechanic trucks, water trucks and tanks, vac trucks, off-road vehicles, and more. The shift is from 6AM-4:30PM, Monday through Friday.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hockley, Texas.
