Position Summary...

What you'll do...

Walmart Data Ventures is focused on productizing Walmart's rich data assets to better serve customers and provide data products that deliver actionable, customer-centric insights to help merchants and brands make better business decisions.

The Senior Manager, Business Strategy will play a role in the continued success and growth of Data Ventures by working through the development and evaluation of new business strategy and monetization opportunities; from identification, to business case development to proof of concept. The Senior Manager will work closely with the Director Business Strategy and key stakeholders, leveraging influencing and collaboration skills, and program/project management expertise to impact long range planning and continued business growth.

The essential functions of the role include, but are not limited to :

• Support development and maintenance of long-range plan for Data Ventures

• Help manage the strategy assessment process, led by the Director of Business Strategy, including hypothesis and use-case development, business plan creation, proof-of-concept execution, and successful product launch

• Support and launch growth initiatives to execute the strategy . Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Product, Tech, Marketing, Account Management, and Sales, to validate go-to-market strategies, create accurate financial models, and execute proof-of-concept projects.

• Embrace and promote the Walmart culture and values, ensuring alignment with the existing team

Minimum Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, Social Science, Communications, or related field and 4 years' experience in retail merchandising, operations management, or related area OR 6 years' experience in retail merchandising, operations management, or related area.

• 3 years' supervisory experience

• 3 years' experience leading cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications :

• Business strategy / growth strategy in a customer lifecycle role

• Collaboration with analytics, data science, product, and technology partners

• Driving results in a matrixed organization

This role is a hybrid role; and will be expected to be onsite at our offices in Hoboken NJ, Bentonville AR or San Bruno CA.
