Intel Logistics Manager in Hillsboro, Oregon

Job Description

In Q4 2023, Intel announced Altera will be reported as a separate business unit beginning on January 1, 2024, with ongoing support from Intel. This position is associated to that standalone business strategy and is expected to fully transition to a standalone company at some time in the future. This will give us the autonomy and flexibility it needs to fully accelerate its growth and more effectively compete in the FPGA industry, which serves a broad array of markets, including the data center, communications, industrial, automotive, aerospace and defense sectors.

The successful incumbent for this role will but not be limited to:

  • Manage, direct, and guide all aspects of logistics function to maximize the team's performance.

  • Strategically plans and manages logistics, reverse logistics, warehouse, transportation, and customer services to meet cost, productivity, accuracy, and timeliness targets.

  • Manage people and projects to ensure optimal utilization of team resources.

  • Drive execution of forward and reverse logistics operations to provide effective services and achieve deliveries within the assigned budgets.

  • Develop and monitor key metrics to assess performance and implement best practices.

  • Drive the development of new standards, procedures, and best practices for the logistics department.

  • Partner with the stakeholders to introduce breakthrough/innovative solutions, automate processes, and transform logistics operations.

  • Work proactively with suppliers and customers to ensure continuous improvement and optimal production solutions for current and future distribution channels.

  • Drive continuous improvement activities to maximize process and cost efficiency.

  • Ensure attainment of department goals, and supports senior management to establish business goals, key performance indicators, supplier selection decisions and development initiatives for the department.

  • Foster solid relationships with stakeholders, business units and external logistics service providers to enable optimal business performance.

  • Responsible for enabling teams to execute through clear goal setting, facilitating work, maintaining accountability, applying differentiated performance management, and driving team results.

  • Drive results by inspiring people, role modeling Intel values, developing the capabilities of others, and ensuring a productive work environment.

This position will report to the Execution and Logistics Director.

Qualifications

This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, or related field of study with 5+ years of experience or MBA degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field of study with 3+ years of experience.

  • 5+ years of experience in logistics, customerorder fulfillment, transportation, warehousing, and 3PL management.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, California: $105,589.00-$158,177.00

*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
