Fairview Health Services Maintenance II, Facilities, Full Time in Hibbing, Minnesota

Fairview Range is hiring a Maintenance II Tech for our Facility Department in Hibbing, MN .

As a Maintenance II Tech, you will perform a variety of general mechanical and preventative maintenance as well as inspections, servicing, repair and overhaul of equipment and facilities of Range Regional Health Services to include refrigeration, cooling, air conditioning systems and equipment; construction, repairing and maintaining of wooden structures such as furniture, equipment, partitions, and other parts of the RRHS facilities using hand and power tools as assigned. Assist with general maintenance activities as directed. Operating Skid Steer for snow removal, landscaping, and freight unloading. Assist with security for patients, employees, and visitors.

Schedule: This position will work 72-80 hours per two weeks. The shift length will be 8-hours on the Day shift. Weekends: no weekends

As a Maintenance II Tech, you are responsible for:

  • Repairing and maintaining equipment and systems as needed. Responsible for the maintenance of the plant, facilities, fixtures, and equipment, as directed.

  • Performing electrical work under supervision.

  • Operating Skid Steer and Plow Truck. Snow removal of all sidewalks and entrances.

  • Providing security for patients, employees, and visitors.

  • Adhering to preventative maintenance schedule and equipment management program.

  • Performing a variety of general maintenance, repair, overhaul, and construction duties in all hospital buildings.

  • Assisting other trade personnel as needed.

  • Performing diversified duties as assigned by the Manager of POM.

Required Qualifications

  • Sufficient previous experience in building maintenance and construction.

  • Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.

  • Previous experience in commercial building maintenance.

  • Must possess Class D driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience with equipment management and preventative maintenance schedules desirable.

  • Graduate of a trade school desirable.
