LifePoint Health MONITOR TECH PRN in Henderson, North Carolina
Under the supervision of an RN, performs telemetry monitoring.
Reports to: Director of PCU/ICU
Performs continual surveillance of multiple monitors.
Identifies significant arrhythmias and/or signs of patient distress and intervenes appropriately. Identifies and corrects for artifacts.
Reports abnormal assessment and telemetry findings or changes in patient physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
Tests equipment for proper working order. Reports equipment problems to supervisor.
Minimum Education High school diploma or equivalent
Required Skills Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Required Skills Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) is required through American Heart Association (AHA) within 30 days of hire
Required Skills Licenses: Certified Nursing Aide preferred.
