THE ROLE: Senior Cloud Engineer

Job Summary:

As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you will make a substantial impact on our clients' projects. Their leadership involves providing in-depth technical guidance, leading hands-on technical implementations, and migrations to support client transformations and overcome obstacles in complex or stalled projects. Our engineers deliver cloud operations, workload consolidation, and security by interpreting client requirements, understanding their unique circumstances, and executing project services to enable the development and implementation of integrated infrastructure solutions. They utilize assets, reference architectures, and runbooks.

Our Cloud Migration and Modernization Sr Engineers are forward-thinking leaders with extensive experience in technology, including over ten years in the field and more than five years specifically in Cloud Solutions and Cloud Multi-cloud hybrid Infrastructures. They are well-positioned to make a substantial impact on our clients' projects. Their leadership involves providing in-depth technical guidance, leading hands-on technical implementations, and migrations to support client transformations and overcome obstacles in complex or stalled projects. Our engineers deliver cloud operations, workload consolidation, and security by interpreting client requirements, understanding their unique circumstances, and executing project services to enable the development and implementation of integrated infrastructure solutions. They utilize assets, reference architectures, and runbooks.

This position does not require any travel

Job Responsibilities:

• The Cloud Engineer will have the ability to execute multiple tool sets to perform discovery activities. Tools to include Flexera, Dr migrate, and native tools.
• Automate cloud deployment processes using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation
• Implement and enforce cloud security best practices, including identity and access management, encryption, and compliance standards.
• Ensure target infrastructure readiness for migration.
• Ensure successful delivery of complex consulting engagements that provide lasting value to clients
• Develop intellectual capital and re-usable resources
• Apply architectural methods and techniques

Required Skills:

• Experience as an Enterprise IT engineer with involvement in application/data center migration programs
• Experience with Azure, GCP, or AWS infrastructure engineering and design
• Experience with Azure, GCP, or AWS migration solutions
• Knowledge of server platforms (Windows, Linux, UNIX)
• Familiarity with virtualization infrastructures (Hyper-V, VMware, etc.)
• Understanding of network architecture, system integration principles, network security, cloud network deployments, and related infrastructure components
• Knowledge of middleware, networking, application architecture, shared services, and n-tier applications

• 6+ years of experience as an Enterprise IT engineer with involvement in application/data center migration programs
