Global Supply Management (GSM) is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and contracting with the right suppliers to meet business needs and enable the enterprise to pay for the goods and services procured from its suppliers and partners (co-brand, corporate card clients, membership rewards, service establishment rebates and travel & lifestyle). Besides providing third party risk management, it is also responsible for managing the Travel and Entertainment (T&E) program for the enterprise.

How will you make an impact in this role?

The role requires a self-motivated individual who will thrive on the challenge of ambiguity, cross collaboration and creation of strategic communication materials help drive projects/process and create visibility/ awareness.

  • Efficiently manage the US Aviation procurement and payment end to end process cycle.

  • Partner to Aviation department who will offer support to the department, operating in an environment that requires seamless collaboration, technical expertise, and coordination with key internal and external stakeholders.

  • Will support the Aviation department including, but not limited to, accounts payables, purchasing, vendor communications, and vendor site maintenance

  • Supports the creation and close monitoring of departments Appropriation Requests.

  • It will have a dotted line reporting structure to the Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis for all Aviation related duties and responsibilities.

  • The person will be responsible for operational delivery for the team across all 3 constituencies of Customer, Shareholder and Employee.

  • Protects the brand by ensuring controls, compliance and information security and data protection.

  • Proactive anticipation of potential issues and control deficiencies, and work with stakeholders to develop and implement appropriate mitigating action plan.

  • Maintain internal control / operational risk protocols which can otherwise expose payment operations to huge financial risks.

  • Support day to day liaison around operational requirements with different stakeholders and customers like rush requests from SVP offices, etc

  • Drives results cross functionally, cross business units and across the Blue Box that have a major impact on driving process efficiencies across the P2P Operations domain.

  • Is able and has the gravitas to interact at all levels of management to support resolution of complex business issues

  • Support Internal / regulatory audits by providing the detailed documentation specified by the audit team for their area of work

  • Manage critical business relationship & engage stakeholders including Compliance, Global Sanctions, Tax, Controllership, Capabilities, B2B etc

  • Maintain and promote the Blue Box Values by ensuring that work is completed to the highest professional and regulatory standards.

  • Lead/Support various automation initiatives / projects with a single focus to bring efficiency in the process thereby reducing manual touchpoints.

  • Ensure process health through metrics-based governance – maintaining integrity of the financial statements

  • Highly accountable with a strategic mind-set, demonstrating end to end ownership

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduate /Post-Graduate / MBA with min 4 years of experience

  • Excellent relationship and influence management skills with the ability to build productive relationships across teams and levels of seniority.

  • Result focus & self-driven & high on flexibility.

  • Good on multitasking & time management

  • Knowledge of Amex system - Global payment system (Oracle/Ariba/Stream) will be an added advantage

  • Basic Accounting Knowledge

  • Good communication skills

  • Excellent analytical skills

  • Strong working knowledge of AMEX general ledger applications and financial reporting systems.

  • Knowledge of MS-Excel
