As a ServiceNow Procurement Senior Engineer, you will lead the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of procurement solutions within the ServiceNow platform. Leveraging your expertise in ServiceNow development and procurement processes, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to optimize procurement operations, enhance efficiency, and drive business value. Your role will involve providing technical leadership, mentoring junior team members, and ensuring the successful delivery of procurement initiatives. The ServiceNow Procurement Senior Product Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing solutions on the ServiceNow Platform to support the CVS procurement business processes. This individual leads the product engineering team, supporting the ServiceNow Procurement product vision through consultation with the CVS Product and Engineering leadership teams to ensure alignment with strategic objectives. The ServiceNow Senior Product Engineer collaborates with the CVS Procurement team to gather requirements, design workflows, configure applications, and develop custom solutions aligned with standards and leading practices to meet business needs and clearly communicates these needs to the ServiceNow technical team. The Senior Product Engineer collaborates with IT ServiceNow technical team to ensure successful execution of solutions and to administer all aspects of the ServiceNow Procurement product requirements. The Senior Product Engineer provides ongoing support for the ServiceNow Procurement product, including troubleshooting, responding to issues, and implementing immediate resolution efforts to ensure an optimal end-user experience. This individual is responsible for monitoring health usage and overall compliance of Procurement, as well as developing and maintaining ServiceNow Procurement reporting capabilities including SLA metrics and dashboards. The Senior Product Engineer is a leader for Product Engineers and Tech Leads within their product area and helps to assess skill sets and training needed as well as mentoring new talent.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of procurement solutions within the ServiceNow platform, including Procurement Catalog, Purchase Orders, Vendor Performance, Contract Management, and other procurement modules.

  • Collaborate with procurement stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and translate user needs into technical solutions and system enhancements.

  • Customize and configure ServiceNow procurement workflows, forms, fields, business rules, UI policies, and client scripts to meet procurement requirements and streamline processes.

  • Develop and maintain integrations between ServiceNow procurement modules and other procurement systems, ensuring seamless data exchange and integration of procurement processes.

  • Perform system testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to identify and resolve technical issues and ensure the stability and reliability of procurement solutions.

  • Stay informed about ServiceNow platform updates, new features, and best practices, and recommend and implement enhancements to optimize procurement functionality.

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the procurement development team, mentoring junior team members, conducting code reviews, and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.

  • Document technical specifications, system configurations, and development activities, ensuring comprehensive documentation and knowledge sharing within the team.

  • Define comprehensive development strategies that perfectly align with the overarching goals of ServiceNow Procurement products and processes.

  • Lead the design and architecture of ServiceNow Procurement solutions to meet business requirements.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to orchestrate the integration of data from various sources into ServiceNow, ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and alignment of the integrated data with business imperatives.

  • Leverage ServiceNow Procurement capabilities to create robust, efficient, and secure development solutions.

  • Establish innovative methods to solve the procurement customer needs.

  • Integrate ServiceNow with other systems and applications using APIs, web services, and other integration methods.

  • Develop and maintain automation scripts, workflows, and business rules to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.

  • Build e-bonding, inbound and outbound integrations to automate transactions and data transfers.

Required Skills:

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in delivering ServiceNow tools and processes.

  • 3+ years of product owner experience in ServiceNow procurement product.

  • Extensive experience in ServiceNow development, including expertise in Scripting (JavaScript), UI Actions, Business Rules, Client Scripts, and ServiceNow APIs.

  • Strong understanding of procurement processes and workflows, including requisitioning, purchasing, vendor management, contract management, and supplier performance evaluation.-

Preferred Skills:

  • Proven track record of successfully leading the design and implementation of complex procurement solutions within the ServiceNow platform.

  • Knowledge of web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and AngularJS for creating user-friendly interfaces and enhancing user experience.

  • Experience with ServiceNow IntegrationHub and Flow Designer for automating procurement processes and workflows.

  • Hands on experience on ServiceNow platform with coding/scripting, configurations and advanced capabilities like Workflows, Flow Designer, App Engine etc.

  • Experience designing and developing integrations between ServiceNow and third-party systems (Archer, Ariba, Alteryx), including use of ServiceNow's Integration Hub, and/or custom APIs.

  • Expertise in available ServiceNow APIs and a good understanding of various API architectural styles, including REST, SOAP, and file-based integrations, etc.- Experience with web technologies such as JavaScript, Jelly, HTML, JSON, CSS, AngularJS, Jelly, Ajax, jQuery- Experience in UI Scripting, UI Action UI Policy, UI Macro, Business Rules, Workflow development, client-side/server-side scripts, Jelly scripts, SLA’s- Experience with ServiceNow development tools such as workflow, flow designer, business rules, scripts, and Access Control List (ACL) rules- Server-side scripts utilizing the most efficient GlideRecord methods to reduce overall processing time- Domain Separation and designing the Process and data flow within various domains - Design and modify ServiceNow forms, workflows, scripts, transform maps, service maps, web services, inbound email actions, SLAs and agent workspace, table management, performance analytics - Proven ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic delivery environment with versatility to manage multiple projects, priorities, and urgent issues successfully and simultaneously.- Hands-on MID-server configuration experience and architecture understanding- Experience working in a SAFe/Agile team- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and provide effective solutions.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Familiarity with procurement compliance regulations and standards, such as ISO 9001, ISO 27001, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX).

  • Previous experience with Agile development methodologies and tools.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) certification.

  • Advanced certifications or training in ServiceNow development and procurement customization.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$83,430.00 - $201,900.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
