Position Summary:

As a ServiceNow HRSD Developer, your role involves designing, developing, customizing, and maintaining HR service delivery solutions within the platform. Collaborating with HR stakeholders and technical teams, you'll enhance HRSD processes and functionalities, contributing to improved employee experience and organizational HR goals.

The ServiceNow HRSD Product Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing solutions on the platform to support various business processes. Collaborating with the Senior HRSD Product Owner and the CVS Health HR team, they gather requirements, configure applications, and develop custom solutions aligned with standards. They also support HR product vision, consult with leadership teams, and administer all aspects of HRSD product requirements, including ongoing support, troubleshooting, and reporting.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement HR service delivery solutions within the ServiceNow platform, including Case and Knowledge Management, Employee Service Center, HR Portal, and other HRSD modules.

  • Customize and configure ServiceNow HRSD workflows, forms, fields, business rules, UI policies, and client scripts to meet HR requirements and streamline processes.

  • Collaborate with HR stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and translate user needs into technical solutions and system enhancements.

  • Develop and maintain integrations between ServiceNow HRSD and other HR systems, ensuring seamless data exchange and integration of HR processes.

  • Perform system testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to identify and resolve technical issues and ensure the stability and reliability of HRSD solutions.

  • Stay informed about ServiceNow platform updates, new features, and best practices, and recommend and implement enhancements to optimize HRSD functionality.

  • Document technical specifications, system configurations, and development activities, ensuring comprehensive documentation and knowledge sharing within the team.

  • Provide technical support and guidance to HR stakeholders and end-users, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and delivering training as needed.

  • Development of HRSD enterprise suite to meet the CVS HR teams’ requirements, including onboarding and offboarding capabilities.

  • Develop and customize functionalities, and workflows.

  • Integrate ServiceNow with other systems and applications as required such as: HCM, Payroll, IAM and other systems/applications using APIs, web services, and other integration methods.

  • Develop and maintain automation scripts, workflows, and business rules to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.

  • Create custom reports, dashboards, and KPIs to provide insights and metrics related to HR services and business processes.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including business analysts, system administrators, and end-users, to gather and analyze requirements.

  • Provide guidance, training, and support to end-users and other teams to ensure effective use of the ServiceNow HRSD product.

  • Create comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, process flows, and system architecture diagrams.

  • Foster a culture of knowledge sharing by disseminating best practices, tips, and insights to the development team and wider stakeholders.

  • Conduct rigorous unit testing and actively participate in system integration testing, ensuring the reliability and stability of developed solutions.

  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to resolve any identified issues or defects.

Required Skills:

  • 4+ years of ServiceNow experience with Human Resources case management.

  • 3+ years of product development experience in ServiceNow HR Service Delivery (HRSD) product – ability to understand out of the box functionality vs customization.

  • Proficiency in ServiceNow development, including hands-on experience with Scripting (JavaScript), UI Actions, Business Rules, Client Scripts, and ServiceNow APIs.

  • Strong understanding of HR processes and workflows, including employee lifecycle management, onboarding, offboarding, performance management, and employee self-service.

  • Experience customizing and configuring ServiceNow HRSD modules, including Case and Knowledge Management, Employee Service Center, HR Portal, and Service Catalog.

  • Knowledge of web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and AngularJS for creating user-friendly interfaces and enhancing user experience.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Hands on experience on ServiceNow platform with coding/scripting, configurations and advanced capabilities like Workflows, Flow Designer, App Engine etc.

  • Experience with data imports, staging tables and transform maps for HR Profiles.- Configuration of HR Criteria, assignment rules, checklists, fulfillment instructions and client role assignment.

  • Experience designing and developing integrations between ServiceNow and third-party systems (Workday, Payroll, IAM), including use of ServiceNow's Integration Hub, and/or custom APIs.

  • Take ownership of the ServiceNow HR projects delivery from intake to implementation to training and value realization.

  • Design and modify ServiceNow forms, workflows, scripts, transform maps, service maps, web services, inbound email actions, SLAs and agent workspace, table management, performance analytics.

  • Experience with web technologies such as JavaScript, Jelly, HTML, JSON, CSS, AngularJS, Jelly, Ajax, jQuery.

  • Experie14. Experience with ServiceNow development tools such as workflow, flow designer, business rules, scripts, and Access Control List (ACL) rules.- Server-side scripts utilizing the most efficient GlideRecord methods to reduce overall processing time.

Preferred Skills:

  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) certification.

  • Experience with ServiceNow HRSD Service Portal customization and widget development.

  • Knowledge of HR compliance regulations and data privacy laws, such as GDPR and CCPA.

  • Familiarity with ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) framework and IT service management processes.

  • Previous experience with Agile development methodologies and tools.

  • Advanced certifications or training in ServiceNow development and HRSD customization.

Education:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$83,430.00 - $201,900.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
