Job Summary: * * Supports the successful implementation of Charlotte Hungerford (CHH), Hartford Hospital (HH) and Hartford HealthCare (HHC) Philanthropy’s goals of $19-22 million raised through the effective management and support of special events and community fundraisers, with event fundraising goal of $3 million. * * Job Responsibilities: Role: Black & Red ·Ensures the Black & Red remains one of the most distinguished, high profile, and enjoyable fundraising events in the region and raises awareness of HH in the community, and ultimately brings long-term financial support. ·Supports Director of Corporate and Community Partnerships and Associate Director, Special Events in creating sponsor tier-list. ·Responsible for management and solicitation of assigned corporate donors and beneficiary-related prospects for sponsorship commitments. Manages a portfolio of corporate partners to secure 4-5 figure gifts totaling $50,000. ·In tandem with Associate Director, Special Events, ensures successful implementation of logistics for the Black & Red related to the layout of the venue, catering, florals, photography, entertainment, volunteer management, and event collateral. ·In tandem with Associate Director, Special Events, ensures successful implementation of logistics for the Pre-Gala event. ·Manages all electronic and printed materials, including the website, invitation, sponsorship opportunities guide, sponsor recognition signage, playbill, slideshows, etc. ·Manages submissions, selections, and coordination for the invitation artwork and HH Heroes. ·Manages all meeting logistics. Role: Charlotte Hungerford Hospital’s Golf Classic ·Ensures the Golf Classic remains a distinguished, high profile, and enjoyable golf tournament in the region and raises awareness of Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in the community, and ultimately brings long-term financial support. ·Supports Director of Corporate and Community Partnerships and Associate Director, Special Events in creating sponsor tier-list. ·Responsible for management and solicitation of assigned corporate donors and beneficiary-related prospects for sponsorship commitments. Manages a portfolio of corporate partners to secure 4-5 figure gifts totaling $30,000. ·Responsible for ensuring successful implementation of all logistics including confirmation of venue, foursomes, golf gifts, game of chance, course contests, food vendors and catering, photography, entertainment, volunteer management, as well as event collateral. ·Manages all electronic and printed materials, including the website, invitation, sponsorship opportunities guide, sponsor recognition signage, slideshows, etc. ·Manages all meeting logistics. Role:Philanthropy and Hospital Events ·In tandem with Associate Director, Special Events, ensures philanthropy-specific events are extraordinary and properly recognize and steward donors, and showcase programs and services to bring long-term financial support. Events including donor recognition events, program/institute highlight events, and scrubs tours. ·Participates in HH events, showcasing programs and services to bring long-term support. ·Performs leadership role when assigned and ensures successful management of logistics including, the review and selection of marketing materials, venues, caterers, florists, photographers, valet, scheduling of speakers, and all post-event work. Role: Community Fundraisers ·In tandem with Associate Director, Special Event, manages Community Fundraiser program, building and maintaining relationships between third-party groups and the organization, with the HH goal of $325,000 and the CHH goal of $50,000. ·In tandem with Associate Director, Special Events, maintains HH Community Fundraiser portfolio and grows CHH Community Fundraiser program. ·Ensures promotion through Hospital and Philanthropy websites. ·Acts as a consultant to these groups and suggests materials to assist in promotion and organizing check presentations. Helps manage and update Classy platform. Role: Young Leaders Advisory Council (YLAC) ·Serves as the liaison to the Young Leaders Advisory Council (YLAC) by providing guidance and support to this group serving as ambassadors of the hospital. * * * Bachelor’s degree in related field * 3 years fundraising or administrative experience. * Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. * Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills. * Articulate, organized and able to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment. * Ability to think critically and creatively, take initiative, with excellent attention to detail. * Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Read, write, and speak the English language. * Knowledge of Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge or other fundraising software highly desirable We take great care of careers.
