DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the Digital Director to plan, create, review, and schedule social media content on all channels. As a Deputy Digital Director, you will be required to maintain a thorough knowledge and understanding of current technologies and trends in social media, design tools, as well as applications. Work includes analyzing and reporting on the agency's public social media platform and website performance metrics, traffic metrics, SEO, and other related data, maintaining the social media process guide, as well as identifying, setting and measuring specific objectives and key performance indicators for social media content and profile. You will be working closely with the Digital Director to collaborate with communications, other internal PID teams, and the governor's digital communications team to meet agency and commonwealth digital communication needs and serve Pennsylvania's various insurance-related audiences. Additional responsibilities include, but may not be limited to: Maintaining PID's social media accounts' design, such as platform banners, timeline cover, and profile pictures Updating external website content Researching social media trends, platform updates, and best practices Monitoring comments and responding to queries received via PID's digital channels Ensuring video content made available through any public agency digital channels content maintains best practices for social media and the web and according to industry best practices

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 2 days a week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years of professional communications experience and a bachelor's degree; or An equivalent combination of education and experience.
