As well as ensuring the final product is manufactured safely, is of high quality, and delivered on time to the customer.ResponsibilitiesSupervise personnel, production workflow , safety and qualityMust be able to operate all stations of the work center for employee training and troubleshooting purposesConfirm that employees have been instructed on the proper safety proceduresAssist Production Manager in handling the production line personnel as well as the production workflowTrain new hires and/or transfers into the departmentComplete beginning of shift/end of shift meetings with prior shift/next shift to receive and pass on any critical production/quality/machine informationComplete beginning of shift huddles to go over safety information, announcements, any necessary information from beginning shift meeting and assign tasks to shift personnelEnsure all personnel, prior to the start of shift, are wearing the correct safety equipment and that safety awareness is maintained throughout shiftEnsure that individuals are applying proper techniques that comply with proper quality control proceduresReport to maintenance and safety coordinator any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions/required maintenanceEnsure that work effort is being applied effectively and that company quality standards and production capacities for the shift are metProvide feedback to Production Manager regarding performance of department employeesRegular and predictable attendance, safely performing tasks, and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of the jobAssist Production Manager with performance evaluations on shift personnelComplete verbal and written disciplinary warnings/counseling in accordance with the company's policy and proceduresComplete production reports at the end of the shift, including work performed by department, back orders and hot itemsResponsible for assisting Safety Coordinator in completion of monthly safety trainings for shift personnelRegular and predictable attendance, safely performing tasks and adherence to all safety policies/procedures are essential functions of the jobConsistently and effectively communicating with other shift counterparts, production manager, plant manager, technicians, HR, customer service and maintenanceEnforce Safety rules and ensure work areas are maintained in a clean and orderly conditionDirects production activities for products in keeping with effective operationsAllocate shift personnel to various areas to accomplish scheduled jobs and to maintain production efficienciesEncourages and leads maximum shift production flow, while ensuring safety and qualityQualificationsAt least 3 years of Lead/Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment is requiredAble to operate under pressure, meet strict deadlines, effectively prioritize workload and capacity to multi-taskAbility to lead by example and build effective teamsStrong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, organizational and time management skillsAbility to work in a factory environment and perform manual laborAbility to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgroundsProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPointAbility to read and perform mathematical calculations and measurements with numbers, fractions, and decimalsAbility to lift up to 40 lbs.What CRH Offers YouHighly competitive base payComprehensive medical, dental and disability benefits programsGroup retirement savings programHealth and wellness programsA diverse and inclusive culture that values opportunity for growth, development, and internal promotionAbout CRHCRH has a long and proud heritage.
