Job Title: Marine Electrician

Job Description

As a Marine Electrician, you will provide essential electrical support to galley and laundry equipment on US Navy Ships and Submarines. Your responsibilities include performing electrical modifications and upgrades to system components across various power levels (120v, 480-460v, and 230-208v), installing breakers, fuses, transformers, cable, and power panels, and conducting electrical calculations. You will troubleshoot issues and develop scopes of work to repair discrepancies. Additionally, you will be responsible for performing lock out/tag out, bagging and tagging wires, and adhering to US Navy procedures, rules, and regulations. Ensuring job sites remain safe and clean is also a critical part of your role. This position requires 20% travel between shipyards in CA and LA, with trips typically lasting from Sunday to Saturday approximately once a month, which can occasionally be extended.

The role is based in a full-service, food equipment, industrial material provider with custom manufacturing and engineering capabilities for the US Navy, Military Sealift Command, US Coast Guard, and vessels afloat.
