Description and Requirements

Exciting opportunity for a recent graduate: become Lenovo's Global Events Specialist!

The position will participate in the development and execution of the marketing strategy for worldwide partnerships & events, and support global projects in alignment of our strategy, as well as drive project management related to targeted internal activities (ex. kick-off meetings, executive leadership summits), and key external events (ex. CES, MWC, IFA).

This position requires strong organizational and communication skills, creativity, strategic problem-solving, and the ability to work in an integrated team structure that spans across functional areas & geographic regions. Responsibilities:

  • Participate and lead as an active member in the execution of planning multi-tiered, global events to help grow brand awareness and consideration within targeted audiences as a services-led technology company. These audiences can include:

  • Customers (Enterprise, Channel, Consumer) Media & analysts Influencers and fans Lenovo employees and executives

  • Represent Lenovo’s interest with external audiences during negotiations for strategic partnerships and throughout the planning/activation process.

  • Work closely with Lenovo’s regional and global marketing peers to ensure the proper execution of tactics related to sponsorships and events.

  • Prepare detailed, milestone-based project plans and manage internal teams, vendors and partners to task completion to ensure overall program completion on time and on budget.

  • Communicate regularly with project stakeholders including preparing and formally presenting planning details, scope, and updates on a consistent basis.

  • Partner with external agencies and regional marketing resources to ensure consistency in execution of Lenovo brand messages.

  • Closely manage administrative functions related to contracts, budgets, purchase commitments (PC), invoices, equipment/merchandise orders, and other items.

Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelors degree (or equivalent) preferred

  • Fluent in English, strong communications skills; highly adaptable/comfortable in high-pressure situations

  • Experience in the planning, marketing, and execution of corporate events or similar experience

  • Detail-oriented, capable of developing and executing an overarching events strategy

  • Customer-service oriented, taking a client-centric approach to every interaction

  • Comfortable interacting frequently with C-level leadership of a Fortune 500 company

  • Collaborative, bold, and ready to challenge the status quo

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) as well as project management software.
