Key job responsibilities

You will be responsible for working with Enterprise customers in Germany and their existing account teams to qualify and pursue sales opportunities for enterprise application workloads and datacenter migration projects. You be collaborating with our segment sales, solutions architects, partner and professional services organizations to drive large and highly complex opportunities to closure. These opportunities will include migrating SQL Server, Exchange or SharePoint applications to the AWS cloud. Your commitments will include quota accountability, driving platform adoption within select accounts, market penetration in new and existing accounts as well as creating public references with customers telling their story about the success they’ve had running their Windows workloads on AWS. You’ll also work closely with the Amazon Partner Network (APN) team and with Amazon’s extensive partner ecosystem to come up with creative ways to scale and grow the business through programs you’ll help coordinate with Systems Integrators and Independent Software Vendors. You’ll be partnering with stakeholders ranging from C-level executives to Technical Decision Makers to help make their cloud migration journey a success.

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

Basic Qualifications

• 3-5 years of sales or business development experience with quota accountability

• Experience in working directly with Enterprise customers (cloud preferred).

• Proven ability to sell complex database, datacenter and cloud technologies

• A track record in helping customers adopt and embrace Microsoft technologies to transform their organizations.

• Fluency with Microsoft Licensing, including License Mobility and Volume Licensing (such as EA)

• Strong verbal and written communications skills in German and English

• Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Qualifications

• Work experience at Microsoft or a Microsoft Partner

• A technical background in engineering, computer science, or MIS
