What you’ll do:

The primary responsibility of this role is to lead team of Switchgear product development & Sustaining (MoL, VAVE) from EIIC Pune. Responsibility includes Driving Technology Roadmaps, Engineering excellence and leverage Analysis first approach; Lead efforts in Prelaunch, Prolaunch and develop new product line for Medium Voltage (primarily) & Low Voltage Assemblies; Understand the xRL levels and develop actions to increase maturity; Define VA roadmap for MV/LV portfolio conducting tear down events and competitor benchmarking; Guide and mentor Pune team for concept, detailed design and industrialization activities. Mentoring & Coaching other MV/LV engineers is primary job responsibility. Contributions to Continous Improvement, DFSS certification, IP is essential.Driving MoL actions in the plant.

"1. Lead the team of MV (primarily) /LV engineers & drive design of Medium/Low Voltage Switchgears for UL standards

2. Drive NPI, Sustaining projects, MoL activities & ensure timely, quality deliverables. Build & drive roadmap for NPI & MoL to grow up in the value chain.

3. Select engineering techniques to solve problems and make design recommendations

4. Demonstrate knowledge in Eaton Agile ProLaunch

5. Hands on experience in product development leveraging DfX methodology.

6. Modify existing products to support customer, manufacturing, applicable regulatory and industry standard, and market requirement

7. Coach and develop team members for building Organizational capability and create the second in line leadership team ready to take higher responsibilities.

8. Responsible for reporting on project status to senior management during portfolio reviews.

9. Own development of test plans for short circuit, temperature rise, arc test in accordance with IEC/UL standards. Creates test object requirements, plan for assembly and finalize test parameters & instrumentation. Responsible for conducting tests by ensuring deployment of standard practices. Assesses test results, root cause analysis through test findings/failures and takes corrective/preventive actions

10.Demonstarte accountability for overall system design including component selection and mechanical package design.

11.Candidate will partner with internal industrialization team to implement new manufacturing tools and techniques to drive differentiated operational excellence into the product line.

12.Effectively drive team operations with product line support, quality and VAVE, MoL activities.

13.Effectively utilize EIIC Eco-system like Test Lab, Digital Org, S/w or F/w capabilities for Product design inline with Digitalization strategy

14.Comeup with NTI/NPI ideas, pitch them in waterlining, get the funded projects & drive them to launch"

Qualifications:

Master’s/Bachelor's degree in engineering preferably Mechanical
