Eaton Corporation Manager - Product Cybersecurity in Hadapsar, India

What you’ll do:

The Product Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (CCOE) at Eaton is responsible for Driving security in our solutions through training, process, technology, best practices and industry standards. This role is a part of the Product Cybersecurity COE and is responsible for enabling various Eaton Business Units (BU) to build Products to Eaton's Cybersecurity standards.

Provide technical, functional leadership and support to the Product Cybersecurity engineering work carried out within various Business Units. Stay in close contact with various BUs Engineering directors & Chief Architects, gather needs of various BUs and maintain a Technology roadmap to provide CS solutions that meet their current & future needs.

Manage a technical team of highly skilled Product Cybersecurity Architects, Division CS Leads & engineers by being fully responsible for managing Team’s hiring, onboarding, Goalsetting. Managing team’s strategic and tactical priorities, providing needed technical and process related guidance and training, and monitoring team’s overall performance.

Understand Technology & Legal Compliance Landscape & maintain an expert level knowledge about the upcoming Cybersecurity regulations, standards across various Industry verticals / domains that Eaton plays in & drive various strategic initiatives to maintain Eaton's posture of compliance.

Maintains an Enterprise level view of the CS Technical learning needs of the various Business Units, working the CCOE Leadership builds / sources training content that builds the organisational capability around Cybersecurity Design & Engineering skills.

Drives Technical Working Group meetings with various Div. CS Leaders to engage the CS Engineering community with Eaton to provide inputs to the PCCOE from the BUs.

Support the Product Cybersecurity risk assessment activities in support of securing Eaton Product portfolio from Cybersecurity technical and business risks

Advise senior management (Engineering, Business & Legal Leadership) on the Cybersecurity risks, emerging trends by staying up to date on the emerging Embedded, OT/ICS. IoT product threats, staying abreast of the latest research and developments in the field of Cybersecurity testing, acquire leadership support, resources, to support the Product Cybersecurity goals and objectives to reduce overall organizational risk and the costs.

Engage with external partner eco-systems (academia, industry, start-ups, researchers etc.) to support the CCOE objectives and bring in the best practices, drive partnerships to support the objectives of the organization. "

Qualifications:

  • BE / B.Tech / Specialized degree (Masters/PhD) in any stream of security (preferred) OR Bachelors with Industry recognized OT / ICS Cybersecurity certifications. However, equivalent professional experience and certifications can also be considered.

  • 12-15 years of experience

Skills:

Qualified individual would possess a combination of technical expertise, industry certifications, and managerial skills with proven expertise across multiple technologies areas with a focus on OT/ICS Embedded Cyber-physical Systems Cybersecurity Engineering / Product development.

In-depth knowledge of Product Security concepts, CS requirements & Engineering of CS features & secure programming and understanding of various technologies used in Embedded, Software, IIoT & Cloud based products.

Extensive hands-on experience in Product Security feature design & architecture, Secure Product development practices is critical. Should demonstrate a solid experiece of challenges encountered when building Cybersecure Products & performing Defensive programming.

Demonstrate experience driving compliance to Cybersecurity requirements dervied from various standards. Should demonstrate a solid understanding of different types of OT/ICS Embedded Cybersecurity Standards like UL2900, IEC 62443 series, ETSI EN 303 645, ISO/SAE 21434 etc.

Strong ability to analyze complex systems, identify vulnerabilities, and develop effective mitigation strategies. Demonstrates deep understanding of evaluating threats, vulnerabilities, and risk to uncover Product Cyber risk scenarios & mitigate them.

Industry-recognized certifications that demonstrate proficiency and expertise in OT / ICS Cybersecurity are strongly preferred. Including but not limited to CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), UL 2900 DATL Authorization, IEC 62443 4-2 etc.

Minimum 3 years’ experience with all aspects of the Security Development Lifecycle, including threat modeling and risk assessments, applying mitigations/controls, including application hardening experience (e.g., design, recommend and implement security hardening technical controls)

Demonstration of commitment to continuous learning is essential. Should stay updated with the latest trends, techniques, and emerging threats through conferences, training, research, and networking."
