Job description:

• Good Understanding of the Test stand Electrical Control System, reading Electrical schematics.

• Design, Develop and Implement Labview Software on the Test stand as per the test needs.

• NI Labview Certification is required.

• Work with Test Lab Team Members on new or critical test requirements and capability needs, and upgrade the Test stand Software/Electrical System/ Instrumentation accordingly.

• Good understanding and hands on required on NI Hardware platforms like, cDAQ, cRIO, PXI etc…

• Good experience on Handling/ installing/configurations of Instrumentation.

• Good Understanding of communication protocols like, Ethernet, CAN, USB, Profibus, DeviceNet, GPIB etc…

• Good Understanding of Equipment handling like – Power Supply, Signal Generators, Oscilloscope, Multimeter, Clamp meter, insulation tester etc…

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and safety improvements on test stands.

• Should have good understanding of Test stand Interlocks, safety systems etc…

• Comply with all Eaton and local/global industry standards (MESH, EHS, ISO, etc.), supported by relevant documentation and internal/external audits.

• Perform GEMBA Walks and 5S duties, including managing resolutions to findings.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electromechanical /Electronics Engineering from an accredited institution.

• 7+ years of relevant experience in R&D Test lab, test environment.

Skills:

Required Expertise Skill Sets

• Software programming skills – NI Labview, Veristand, and deployment experience.

• Handling Instrumentation and Electrical equipment used on Test stands like, Analog/Digital sensors, Data Loggers etc..

• Software Automation for integrating sub systems into main software.

• Troubleshooting with respect to Instrumentation, Electrical system & DAQ System within Test Rig hardware and software.

• Test stand safety interlocks integration and verification.

• Experience in working with multiple teams and across departments preferred.

• Ability to achieve results in a matrix environment and complex projects.

• Supportive team player in a corporate environment.
