Herd livestock to grazing or to scales, trucks, or other enclosures. Ride horse around the pens to ensure health and safety of animals and maintenance of pens and surrounding areas. Must have own horse. Tasks involved include but not limited to processing and moving animals on a daily basis to ensure their safety and welfare. Identifying any distressed, injured or unwell animals and communicating this to management and keeping accurate records of livestock. Supporting veterinarians and helping to administer vet treatments for optimum animal health if necessary.
