Adecco US, Inc. EHS Supervisor in Guayama, Puerto Rico

Objective

The EHS Supervisor site is responsible for monitoring or overseeing construction sites and making sure that workers within the environment adhere to government regulations/standards regarding safety.

Duties and Responsibilities 1. Oversees day-to-day activities and compliance with EHS standards within the construction workplace.

  1. Implementation of safety programs (Strengthening Safety Culture, Incident Prevention Campaigns, disease prevention, etc.)

  2. Ensures that workers make use of necessary protective equipment like helmets, hand gloves, welding shades etc., where and when necessary

  3. Keep monthly, quarterly, and annual statistics on accident rates.

  4. Investigates accidents and tackle their causes.

  5. Arranges training programs on safety measures and standards within the workplace to meet regulatory and company's policies.

  6. Carry out permanent inspections of the activities carried out in the work areas.

  7. Develops plans for emergency procedures according with the company's Standards and Regulatory Agencies.

  8. Receives and acts on reports regarding safety concerns from workers within the construction site/workplace.

  9. Serves as a link between workers and top management when it comes to issues that have to do with the safety and proper organization of the workplace.

  10. Introduces measures that will prevent accidents within the workplace.

  11. Assure control the activities of collaborating companies (contractors).

  12. Participate in Internal and External Audits. Generate internal and external reports as required.

  13. Implementation of safety programs (Strengthening Safety Culture, Incident Prevention Campaigns, disease prevention, etc.)

  14. Keep Document Control and Recordkeeping. Review Safety and Health procedures in compliance with company's standards and regulatory agencies.

  15. Coordinate actions with local authorities and emergency services.

  16. Any work assigned by your Leader and that is consistent with personal competencies and skills.

  17. The activities described above are formulated in an illustrative but not limiting manner, and the employee must carry out all the ancillary and related work in accordance with the nature of the position, agreeing to carry them out efficiently.

Essential Qualifications Education

Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Environmental, Engineering, Sciences, or related field.

OSHA Construction 30 Hrs.- Preferable

Experience:

3-5 years of Construction Safety experience required.

Required Skills:

· Strong organizational and time management skills.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Good attention to detail.

· Strong work ethic.

· Works well independently or as part of a team.

· Excellent leadership skills

· Licensing and accreditation with respect to the construction industry are preferable.

· Bilingual: English and Spanish

· Analytical and Problem solving

· Computer knowledge (MS Office, Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.)

· Knowledge in Procore platform is desirable.

Availability:

· Available to work outside the work shift when required by the organization needs.

Physical Requirement:

· Minimal physical effort, without performing heavy lifting.

Assets Management:

· Ensure compliance with the company's asset management system and the EHS System Management Program

Pay Details: $18.00 per hour
