Introduction

As a Test Specialist at IBM, your analytical and technical skills will directly impact the quality of the software we create. Whether the testing is manual, automated, or cognitive, you hold a key role in releasing the best deliverables to IBM'ers and our clients.

Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role you will design and implement auto-scripts and customized java development solutions as directed by the Project Application Architect. You will work closely with the functional and development teams to meet the business requirements of the client.

• Experience with Application Development using java / python.

• Understanding of Java development.

• SDLC and/or Enterprise Applications.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• English proficiency

• Basic Knowledge of Software testing (Test planning, test execution, defect tracking)

• Experience with Code Development for Test Automation (Python, Perl, or bash)

• Experience with Infrastructure configuration, management, and troubleshooting.

• Experience with Linux OS (RHEL/SUSE), system configuration, and administration (command line) sysadmin.

• Strong communication skills and ability to work in large teams with testers and developers

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Knowledge with Storage Products concepts

• Knowledge with Virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V).

• Knowledge with Encryption

• Experience with Operating Systems: Windows Server 2022

• Experience with protocols: FC, NVMe and iSCSI

• Experience with networking and Internet technologies like TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP.

• Experience with Agile Software Development and Test.
