JOB SUMMARYResponsible for maintaining and improving the verification processes proficiencies and efficiency. Manage and organize process tech team.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES• Diagnose and repair to component level on electronic circuit board assemblies while maintaining minimal quantities of Engineering and Component hold assemblies.• Exhibit proficiency in the use of electronic test and measurement equipment.• Ability to understand and utilize assembly documentation such as but not limited to the following; Schematics, BOM’s, Visuals, Debug, Testing tools and procedures.• Perform as a team member to achieve Diagnostic department’s process yield goals focusing on non product failures (NPFs).• Assist Test Engineering department in an ongoing data evaluation program for improving the efficiency of the diagnosis of assemblies.• Allocate process techs resources to better assist production needed as well as TE support.• Ensure process techs procedures meet quality specification and up to date.• Point of contact for any issues related to Engineering procedures.• Support and helping TE install and develop new NPI project.• Perform PM periodically to prevent all fault failure.• Understand, recognize and execute Jabil production requirements, rules, policies and procedures ensuring compliance of WIP and 3-5-10 rules.• Work efficiently to decrease non-preventative maintenance issues to achieve department’s down-time goals.• Frequent customer interface, including travel to customer sites for advanced diagnostic issues.• Prepare daily reports and recommend solutions to technical problems as required.• Perform preventative maintenance program to reduce down time and increase process yields to achieve departmental goals.• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES• Typically reports to Management. Direct supervisor job title(s) typically include: Test Engineering Manager• Job is NOT directly responsible for managing other employees (e.g., hiring/termination and/or pay decisions, performance management).JOB QUALIFICATIONSKNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.• Ability to operate a personal computer including using a Windows based operating system and related software.• Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil’s software packages.• Ability to write simple correspondence. Read and understand visual aid.• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.• Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS• Associates of Science in Electronics or Electrical Engineering.• Plus 1 - 3 years experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.• Basic personal computer skills; Programming language experience preferred.• Or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience.WORKING CONDITIONS• Regular business hours. Some additional hours may be required.• Travel requirements: Domestic and/or Global, up to 25%• Climate controlled office environment during normal business hours.
