Sr. Mfg. Equipment Maintenance Technician – Instrumentation

Typical hours for this role is 6:00PM-6:00AM 2-3-2 Shift (Nights)

How will you make an impact?

Perform instrumentation work at a technical level by, fixing and recommending preventive action, and assisting in the support of the overall PM/calibration program. Perform repair on circuit boards and mechanical systems in the steriles manufacturing operation in support of production schedules and calibration schedules. Perform detailed repair as needed to avoid replacement of equipment or modules within the equipment.

What will you do?

  • Repair various systems, components and equipment using written instructions, sketches, plans, diagrams, oral descriptions or self-determined job requirements based on observed conditions.

  • Document conditions, actions, procedures and results of work, tests, or inspections performed as guided by company policies and procedures.

  • Review and determine priority of multiple repairs and completing repairs in a manner to best suit the manufacturing organization.

  • Maintain and upgrade technical and nontechnical skills by participation in company and outside training programs.

  • Follow department work schedules, shifts, call-ins, stand-by, department coverage and overtime.

  • Maintain work area and equipment in a clean, safe, and orderly manner.

  • Work will be non-routine and based on the immediate needs of the department. The work demands of the job may change as any moment of the day and the employee with have to adjust to those demands.

How will you get here?

Education:

  • Associate’s degree in Electronics/Electrical, Instrumentation Technology, Engineering, or other applicable technical degrees preferred.

  • High school diploma or equivalent is minimally required.

Experience:

  • With HS diploma – 2-3 years of instrumentation experience and or electrical/electronics experience.

  • With Associate's degree, 1 year of instrumentation experience or electrical/electronics experience.

  • Pharmaceutical experience is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Proficiency in the use of highly technical diagnostic and test equipment.

  • Knowledge of electronic component recognition and operation.

  • Skilled in problem analysis, planning and organization.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Reading and comprehension of blueprints, manuals and training materials.

  • Ability to work well on a team.
