We are looking for reputable Truck Drivers to join our team operating belly dumps, end dumps, truck & pup trailers and water trucks. CDL is required. Regular job duties include general labor, chaining and strapping, loading and unloading of freight/equipment. Load truck with necessary aggregates and sand according to prescribed procedures. Driver is responsible for attention to weight distribution and limits set forth by DOT regulations. Lowboy drivers will need to know how to operator heavy equipment to load and unload onto a lowboy truck for hauling heavy equipment to and from construction job sites. Wage: DOE, and competitive! Job Description * Work well with all co- workers and customers * Must have verifiable driving record * Those applying for equipment hauler are required to provide experience hauling construction equipment including oversize load experience * CDL license and clean driving record * Current DOT medical card * Ability to observe and maintain excellent safety standards * Knowledge of size/weight restrictions * Maintain log book / keep good records * Must know basic mathematics * Must be willing to work overtime and weekends at times * Must be able travel: out of town and across state lines * Follow direction of Foreman as to daily tasks and expectations for each specific project * Fill up fuel, clean truck, and wash windows * Report any accidents that happen on the road & follow accident procedures * Report any vehicle defects or damage to Management * Must be able to secure cargo * Perform basic emergency roadside repairs, such as changing tires, installing light bulbs, tire chains or spark plugs * Perform daily inspections of the truck * Ability to perform minor repair or routine maintenance on vehicle Physical Requirements: * Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. * Ability to sit in awkward positions for long periods, standing on a variety of surfaces and at differing angles, bending over, crouching and climbing up and down ladders * Ability to do a complete walk around, inspecting the operating condition of the tractor and or trailer and cargo General Requirements * Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening * Willingness to travel * Must have a valid driver\'s license. * Must have verifiable work history Ideal candidates will be self-motivated to stay busy with various duties to maintain equipment in-between transports and assist in the shop where needed.
