Metro Health (now the University of Michigan Health-West) is looking for Mammography Tech.

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Clinical Support Services, the Mammographer will perform radiological imaging studies. The responsibilities include various radiology tasks and patient care activities. Requirements:

1. Satisfactory completion of formal radiographic technology program in an AMA-approved school and successful completion of board registry by ARRT.
2. Preferably a member of either ASRT or MSRT or both.
3. Required ARRT registered in Mammography
4. Current BLS certification - Basic life support.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

1. Administer ionizing radiation in the production of radiographs
2. Provides safe and effective patient care while performing duties of Mammography Technologist.
3. Utilize and effectively use all Radiology equipment and software in the performance of daily responsibilities.
4. Will use the principle of As Low As Reasonably Achievable (ALARA) to minimize radiation dose.
5. Maintain certifications, registrations, and education requirements of the hospital and accrediting body.
6. Demonstrate the appropriate knowledge of all protocols and procedures.
7. Display consistent proficiency in using AIDET when communicating with patients, visitors, physicians, peers, managers, volunteers, internal and external customers.
8. All other duties as assigned.
