Title: Slab Jack Truck Driver/Laborer Starting Pay Rate: $21/hr plus relevant experience & benefits.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

General Purpose of Position and Essential Position Functions and Responsibilities: To maintain slab jack truck and equipment. Mobilize to and from job sites, set up equipment and perform slab jack repair duties. Help in maintaining equipment. Read and understand job proposals and perform jobs in a professional safe manner as CDL driver and laborer. Will also work with any crew performing specialty repair work at any time, as needed.

General Job Duties: 1. Understanding safety hazards of each job and maintain proper personal protective equipment. 2. Drill holes in concrete with rock drill at properly analyzed locations. 3. Mixing of slab jack material by shoveling and lifting material into mixer and dumping properly mixed material into mud pump and operating mud pump. 4. Properly mixing and matching repair material to fill in grout holes. 5. Clean up job site and equipment. 6. Perform preventive maintenance on equipment. 7. Keep driving logs current (if applicable). 8. Adhere to all DOT regulations.

Position Requirements: 1.Minimum Education and Experience: a. High School Diploma or GED preferred. b. Two (2) years construction experience preferred.

  1. Minimum Required Skills, Ability, Licensing, Certification, Training, etc.: Class B CDL and medical card. Good public relations skills, ability to represent MCSI in positive manner. Desire and ability to keep learning and improving.
  2. Tools, Equipment, or Machines Required to Operate: basic hand tools, grout mixer, skid loader (preferred).
  3. Physical Requirements: a. General: walk, stand, sit, climb, uses hands and finger to handle or feel objects or tools, reach with hands and arms, talk, listen, hear, read, see, lift, bend, climb in/out of equipment. b. Lifting: 100 # requirement, sometimes numerous times per day. c. Exposure to Elements: Outside elements i.e. sun, wind, dust, rain, concrete, grouts, mud, snow, ice, cold, heat, high pressure hoses, solvent, grease, oil, paint, cleaning materials, noise. d. Handling of Dangerous Equipment: normal safety issues and guidelines of operating heavy equipment, pressurized concrete and hydraulic lines or hoses.

  4. Scheduled Work Hours: Typically, 6-7:00am to 3-4:00pm, hours for lunch, two 10-minute breaks, unless otherwise specified. Hours may vary and out of town work will apply. Some Saturday and overtime work may be re
