Center For Independence Independent Living Manager Of Programs And Operations in Grand Junction, Colorado
The Independent Living Operations Manager is a senior level position with responsibilities including strategic planning, the implementation and oversight of core programs in the Mesa County office, agency wide programs for consumer emergency preparedness and a developed strategic response to public health emergencies that threaten the health, safety, and quality of life for consumers.
Assists with developing annual goals, staffing assignments to meet identified community needs, and acting as a resource for staff education and professional development. Provides oversight of operations pertaining to the growth and development of Independent Living Programs in Mesa County at the direction of and in collaboration with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Oversight of CILSuite Training, Data entry, and file review.

Identifies and assists in company's capital investments in our Gunnison Center LLC facility, our fleet of cars and utility vehicles, fire, intruder, and safety monitoring of building, physical plant and health standards. Researches and recommends improvements to meet the present and future needs of the organization.
Oversees the capital investment in computer technology, software upgrades, internet connectivity and risk management, and the on-going security of consumer data collection and use. Makes recommendations and provides training on efficient and effective uses of software as a tool for staff communication.
Delivers a unique set of program supports and program development to support the deaf, deaf/blind and hard of hearing. This will include making statewide advocacy efforts to improve access, emergency planning, communication, and cultural awareness.
Collaborate and work with state entities such as Colorado Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, Office of Independent Living, Colorado Commission for the Deaf, Deaf/Blind and Hard of Hearing, Statewide Independent Living Council, and Association of Colorado Centers for Independent Living as directed. Ensures the Independent Living programs meets all state and federal compliance standards and that the philosophy, mission and goals of the Center are preserved.

The Independent Living Operations Manager will contribute to a positive working environment by providing meticulous attention to detail and a readiness to help others. The Independent Living Operations Manager will demonstrate in-depth knowledge of and commitment to the Center for Independence and its rich history. This is a high stress and demanding position that requires the management of multiple projects while producing high quality results.
The Independent Living Operations Manager is a member of the leadership team and contributes to company's policy and advocacy agenda. The Independent Living Operations Manager reports directly to the CEO.
