An Inspector is needed for one of the world's largest suppliers of aerospace and defense products in the Gloucester, MA area. This role involves conducting detailed inspections and validations of manufactured products and components to ensure compliance with design and quality standards, using a variety of mechanical inspection tools and documentation practices.

work hours: 8am to 4pm

responsibilities:

• Inspects parts using instruments like micrometers, gauges, and calipers.

• Reads and interprets quality policies, blueprints, and other documentation.

• Conducts receiving, in-process, final inspections, and first article approval for hardware and components.

• Operates computer systems for inspection tasks.

• Verifies accuracy and completeness of work order documentation.

• Performs visual and physical inspections of units and subassemblies.

• Completes unit shakedowns for any foreign objects, rattles, or loose internal components.

Skills:

• Proficiency with mechanical inspection tools (thread gages, micro-hite, drop indicator, surface indicator).

• Knowledge in visual inspection, blueprint reading, and GD&T.

• Preferred experience with CMM operation.

• Ability to perform First Article Inspections.
