The Impact You Can Make The Radiation Therapist simulates patients and to administer high doses of radiation via linear accelerators or HDR unit as prescribed by the physician. This position requires very minimal supervision. The Radiation Therapist should facilitate complex problem solving regarding technical issues. The Radiation Therapist should act as an expert clinician in area of assignment. Education/Experience: * * Current license to practice radiation therapy in NY State * Must be registered in radiation theraphy by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists *Skills/Abilities: * Demonstrated ability to operate simulator, linear accelerators, and HDR unit to department standards. * Demonstrated ability to operate block fabrication equipment to department standards. * Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively as to organizing tasks. * Demonstrated ability to facilitate complex problem solving regarding technical issues. Licences/Certifications/Registrations: * Must be registered in radiation therapy by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. * Current license to practice radiation therapy in NY State. * Must maintain continuing education requirements as per the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Salary Range The expected base rate for this Glens Falls, New York, United States-based position is $41.07 to $64.02 per hour. Exact rate is determined on a case-by-case basis commensurate with experience level, as well as education and certifications pertaining to each position which may be above the listed job requirements.
