Title:

Environmental & Waste Manager

We are seeking to appoint an Environmental and Waste Manager to provide informed environmental advice in delivering construction projects, accounting for all environmental compliance obligations.

This is a key role working as part of a multi-disciplinary team supporting nuclear facilities and the delivery of services across Client sites.

We are a trusted delivery partner to clients in the nuclear energy sector. Enthusiastic teams work together across disciplines, including organizational transformation and integration, systems engineering, and programme management, to deliver full life cycle solutions from concept through to operations and decommissioning.

Some of your responsibilities…

  • Provide informed environmental advice to ensure long-term environmental (including waste) goals are met.

  • Arrange and undertake relevant site surveys and develop plans to maximise the environmental potential of our projects.

  • Monitor the consumption of electricity, water and waste through recording and analysis of data and report the impact of changes, either from suppliers or following project improvements. Produce reports based on collected data upon request.

  • Conduct and report on Environmental Audits.

  • Identifies and analyses environmental impacts and contributes to the identification and evaluation of risk reduction measures, ensuring that these are adequately documented and managed.

  • Train staff at all levels on environmental issues and responsibilities.

What We Need

Experience of working with:

  • Marine Regulation, Permitting and Consents

  • Scottish Environmental Regulation

You will have experience in the Defence and Construction Sector, implementing Defence Related Environmental Assessment Methodology (DREAM).

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Management, Waste, Chemistry, or relevant management discipline.

Relevant professional accreditation (MCIWEM, PIEMA or equivalent).

Security Requirements

You must have, or be eligible for, SC clearance.

Location

This position is hybrid with some time spent onsite, at our Client’s office and at home.

Your own transport is essential as the site is based in Helensburgh.
