This is an exciting time to be a part of Ellsworth, come join our team! Summary Purchases materials, supplies and services at the most favorable terms. Negotiates prices and terms for purchased goods and services. Tracks purchases, monitors vendor quality, and maintains a current database of vendor information. Responsibilities Negotiates costs for assigned products, supplies and services Maintains Supplier information in the ERP system Partners with assigned Suppliers to develop Annual Strategic Plans to improve efficiencies Develops and maintains relationships with contacts at Suppliers to facilitate prompt resolution of issues (expedites, sales and customer service questions / concerns, customer specifications, product conformity, logistics, etc,) Communicates Supplier information regarding product and quality notifications across the Company Reviews inventory levels for assigned products to provide optimal material availability Adjusts stocking levels of product by reviewing shelf life to ensure minimal scrap Negotiates with Suppliers regarding Return Material Authorizations and Credit Memos Develops forecasts of product to ensure correct product mix and product levels as business fluctuates Reviews trends within assigned product lines to help minimize (RMAs, discrepancies, scrap, etc.) Partners with Quality to resolve all CARs and SCARs and works with Suppliers to resolve scorecard issues Experience 1+ years of experience in purchasing or related Field. Bachelor\'s degree from a four-year college in Supply Chain, Finance or related field. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered as equivalent.
