Howmet Aerospace Maintenance Support in Georgetown, Ontario
6 Month Contract - Monday to Friday 7am-3:30pm - $20.00/ hour
Conduct preventive maintenance on all production machinery, related equipment and material handling equipment (forklift truck included) as per work order.
Assist in the install of new equipment, as well as adjusting and repairing existing equipment.
Start up and Observe all machines to detect malfunctions and report finding
Communicate ideas and improvement to production machinery and parts
Perform building/facility maintenance, including plumbing in plant and office.
Liaise with property management to ensure parking lots are cleared of snow and ice. Apply additional salt on parking lot if required.
Make improvements on production machinery and parts
Monitor and maintain safety performance of equipment
Assist in the research of new equipment/replacement parts and make purchase recommendations
Assist QA with validation and verification of equipment and processes.
Liaise with all staff members regarding the repair of equipment’s
Conduct the necessary training of equipment to Machine Operator
Ensure housekeeping is maintained daily
Observe and reinforce Health & Safety Standards
Working towards the Certification / Electrical Apprentice
Experience with Hydraulics System
Knowledge of Pneumatics, Welding, Pipe fittings, PLCs, Including plumbing and Gas
Good judgement skills with an ability to handle multiple and changing demands.
Friendly customer focused attitude with excellent verbal and written communications skills
Knowledge on electrical work will be an asset
Ability to work well within a team and independent
