PURPOSE The Squire Express Delivery Driver performs routine deliveries in various locations of SUNY Geneseo Campus. The Squire Express Driver will provide excellence in customer service and build customer loyalty by delivering CAS food items in a timely, cordial manner.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS -Provides exceptional customer service -Communicates clearly with customers and food service employees, demonstrating an eagerness to work through any issues or points of confusion -Performs basic vehicle checks including visual inspections and reporting issues -Prepares, loads and unloads the delivery vehicle -Communicates with other team members to make deliveries -Has a general knowledge of, understands, and follows health codes and policies -Drives company vehicle to selected delivery locations -Follows all traffic laws DOT regulations and best practices for safety when delivering items -Assist dining facilities with various customer service tasks that include but are not limited to; cashiering, stocking, dish room and table service as well as basic food preparation -Other duties may be assigned to reach individual and organizational goals
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE -High school diploma or equivalent and/or delivery driver experience or related experience -Must possess a valid NYS driver's license for greater than three (3) years -Must have a violation free NYS drivers license and be approved/authorized by the CAS insurance company to drive company vehicles
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
-Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time
-Ability to lift 25 pounds occasionally
SCOPE AND DIRECTION -Reports to: CAS Restaurants and Cafes Management -Direct Reports: None -FLSA Status: Hourly part time- Non Exempt -Hourly rate of pay: $15.00 *Please note, this position does not accept tips due to regulations with student meal plans
