Description

The technician is responsible for performing all aspects of the glassware sterilization process in order to supply the demand for glassware in the TC labs.As an employee of Boehringer Ingelheim, you will actively contribute to the discovery, development and delivery of our products to our patients and customers. Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for emptying and washing 50 gallon barrels.

  • Responsible for operating bottle grinder.

  • Responsible for carrying trash from Production facility to proper locations.

  • Responsible for carrying trash from labs to grinding room.

  • Responsible for daily operation of autoclave.

  • Responsible for glassware washing and sterilization procedures.

  • Responsible for moving 50 lbs. of glassware on a regular basis.

  • Responsible for wrapping glassware.

  • Preforms cooperatively with a certified trainer and other certified technicians. Progression through the Demonstrated Skills-Based Training System is vital to performance and should be considered a priority.

  • Additional responsibilities may include assisting in all areas of vaccine production.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

May not own or have contact with other birds or poultry.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required.

  • One (1) year of related experience in a manufacturing environment helpful.

  • Must have knowledge of marek's production.

  • Ability to lift / push / pull, 50 lbs. consistently must be able to lift and carry a weight of 50 lbs., a distance of 50 ft. on a regular basis.

  • Must be able to squat, bend, and stoop, as well as twisting and turning.

  • Must stand on feet for extended periods of time and work in a sterile production environment.

  • Manual dexterity and visual acuity are important.

  • Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE.)

  • Ability to share workload and responsibilities of other departmental employees.

  • Must be a team player and work well with others.

  • Must be able to work flexible work hours. Regular attendance is a must.

  • Self-motivated. Ability to think ahead to next task. Ability to work well under time constraints.
