General Summary
As an Electrical Technician, you'll be responsible for a range of electrical trade functions, including installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment used in electricity generation, distribution, and utilization. Your expertise will ensure the smooth operation of various electrical systems and components.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Install and repair diverse electrical equipment like generators, transformers, switchboards, and motors, based on blueprints or specifications.
Working from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications.
Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostic procedures to identify and resolve electrical system issues.
Perform load requirement computations and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Utilize electrician's tools and test instruments proficiently.
Possess rounded expertise typically acquired through formal apprenticeship or licensure.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned work areas.
Collaborate with maintenance team members and assist as needed.
Execute additional tasks as directed by supervisory personnel.
Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements
Hold a minimum Electrical Journeyman license.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite desired.
Experience with a Facility Computerized Maintenance Management System software (CMMS) desired.
Work Environment
Must be able to lift 50 lbs., squat, bend, stoop and kneel for short periods, climb a ladder, stand for long periods of time, constant arm extensions.
Occasional exposure to elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals, but none to the point of being disagreeable. May involve minor safety hazards where likely result would be cuts, bruises, etc.
Must be able to pass a local background check and have the ability to obtain and maintain NAC/LAC clearance after hire.
