Rappahannock Goodwill Industries Driver II in Fredericksburg, Virginia
POSITION SUMMARY: Rappahannock Goodwill Industries (RGI) is searching for a Driver II to drive company straight trucks, tractor trailer trucks and associated vehicles. The driver will pick up and deliver materials on time and assist in material handling as needed. DUTIES : Behaves as a model worker in terms of personal appearance, behavior, quality of work, and respect for others. Picks up and delivers materials. Maintains receipts regarding firm’s customers / accounts and turns proper documentation into supervisor. Uses Personal Protective Equipment if required. Completes vehicle route sheet and daily/weekly/monthly maintenance and records for truck, informing supervisor of any immediate issues. Provides excellent customer service to all RGI customers. Reports incidents/accidents/exposures as appropriate. Communicates all customer information to supervisor as appropriate. Complies with all vehicle and facility housekeeping requirements. Assists in processing as needed. Follow all safety policies and procedures. Performs any other duties as assigned. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to work occasional weekends. Education/Training: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) preferred. CDL License with experience driving various trucks. Valid Virginia’s Driver’s License (driving record must be acceptable to RGI’s insurance carrier). Basic computer skills, ability to operate GPS tracking system preferred. Requires drug screen. Requires DMV and criminal background screen. DOT Physical required. Physical Demands: Standing and moving 80% of work hours. Ability to regularly lift/push 50+ pounds. Ability effectively use a dolly, pallet jack, forklift and lift gate. Working Conditions: Warehouse environment 75%; Outdoors 25%, requiring appropriate dress.
