POSITION SUMMARY: RGI is searching for Full-Time Driver to join our transportation team. As a Driver you will be responsible for driving a company straight truck and associated vehicles, picks up and delivers materials, on time, and assists in material handling as needed. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Drives assigned routes. Safeguards all donations and company property from damage and theft. Treats all donations and company property with respect and care. Safely and efficiently loads and unloads trucks, vehicles, containers and trailers. Loads and unloads vehicles by hand or by use of hand truck, lift gate and/or pallet jack. Picks up and delivers materials. Maintains receipts regarding firm’s customers / accounts and turns proper documentation into supervisor. Uses Personal Protective Equipment as required. Completes vehicle route sheet and daily/weekly/monthly maintenance and records for truck, informing supervisor of any immediate issues. Provides excellent customer service to all RGI customers. Reports incidents/accidents/exposures as appropriate. Communicates all customer information to supervisor as appropriate. Complies with all vehicle and facility housekeeping requirements. Assists in receiving donations, operating bailer/forklift and other processing assistance as needed. Coordinates salvage shipments. Performs any and all other duties as assigned. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Must Be Able to work occasional weekends High School diploma or equivalent, and prior experience driving a straight truck. Basic computer skills, ability to operate GPS tracking system preferred. Requires drug screen. Requires criminal background screen. Requires DOT Physical. Ability effectively use a dolly, pallet jack, forklift and lift gate. Requires DOT Physical. Valid Virginia’s Driver’s License (driving record must be acceptable to RGI’s insurance carrier). PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT/WORK CONDITIONS: Standing and moving 80% of work hours. Ability to regularly lift/push 50+ pounds. Ability effectively use a dolly, pallet jack, forklift and lift gate. Warehouse environment 75%; Outdoors 25%, requiring appropriate dress. Constant (up to 100%) standing, walking, pushing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, reaching over head, reaching forward.
