Robert Half Sr. Financial Analyst in Franklin Park, Illinois

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Financial Analyst in the manufacturing industry, based in Franklin Park, Illinois. The key function of this role will be to assist in all areas of financial and manufacturing analytics, with a focus on inventory, cost, productivity, and price. This role will be integral in forecasting, reporting, and reconciling all areas of the business.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and deliver various reports and analysis, including sales, production, and pricing.

• Manage inventory including material variance reconciliations, and oversee monthly counts.

• Track and report on productivity.

• Conduct capacity analysis and capital expenditure studies.

• Collaborate with Production and Quality teams to develop and maintain KPI’s.

• Assist in the month-end close process.

• Prepare monthly board presentations.

• Manage budget and forecasting, including quarterly forecasts and annual operating budget.

• Support operational management and other key departments within the organization.

• Conduct financial modeling.

• Assist in identifying process improvements, demand planning, and contract negotiations.

• Handle ad hoc reporting and special projects. Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 5 years experience in a Financial Analyst role, preferably within the manufacturing industry.

• Demonstrated expertise in Financial Analysis is essential.

• Experience in job costing within a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are required.

• Proficiency in using financial software and databases is expected.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills are needed.

• Must have the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team.

• Should be able to handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.

• A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field is required.

• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, including creating spreadsheets and using advanced formulas.

• Familiarity with financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance and information analysis.

• Professional qualification such as CFA/CPA or similar is considered a plus.

• Must have strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.

• Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated.

• Demonstrated leadership ability, confidence and executive presence – ability to motivate staff.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
