**Sales Manager

Summary: **Manages the Sales Department to ensure that customer needs are met. Planning, organizing, and controlling the activities of the Sales Department. Oversees all activities of the Sales Department including monitoring the showroom and lot, the department finances, customer service, brand, inventory, advertising, and prospecting. Strives to achieve Company objectives for sales, customer satisfaction and profitability. 

*Reports To: *General Sales Manager or General Manager

Job Duties:

· Creating annual dealership sales forecasts by estimating total vehicle sales, gross and operating profits and expenses for the  Sales Department.

· Effectively manage sales personnel to ensure high quality and professional services are provided to all customers.

· Meets with General Manager and General Sales Manager to plan and implement objectives for achieving sales and gross profits.

· Oversees standards for displaying and merchandising vehicles as well as reviewing and initialing all promotions before they are finalized.

· Works directly with the General Sales Manager on making recommendations for advertising campaigns, sales promotions, staffing needs, lease promotions and compensation plans.

· Resolves customer complaints ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction is obtained.

· Oversight of vehicle inventory, including processing deals, giving valid appraisals, and motivating sales to obtain maximum gross.

· Manage, train, coach, evaluate and direct Sales Consultants to ensure excellent customer service and to achieve maximum profits.

· Ensures and enforces that Dealership policies and procedures are understood and followed.

· Plans, analyzes and manages department finances by comparing volume, income, cash flow, gross profit, variable expenses and customer and employee satisfaction to monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts.

· Support, encourage, and motivate sales personnel daily to maintain high morale and ethical standards.

· Take accountability for daily performance metrics in sales, appointments, and follow-up calls.

Qualifications

 2+ years automotive sales experience

· 2+ years management experience

· Valid driver's license

· Must be willing to submit a pre-employment background check

· Proficient computer knowledge including Microsoft Office Suite

· Strong negotiation skills

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $50,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
