Job Title: Electrical Mechanical Assembler

Job Description

The candidate will perform mechanical and electrical assembly in a fast-paced environment. The candidate will be responsible for following detailed assembly instructions, reading wiring diagrams and schematics, and performing various tasks such as stripping, crimping, and soldering wires, connectors, and cable assemblies.

Responsibilities

  • Follow detailed assembly instructions and processes.

  • Read wiring diagrams, schematics, and other production-related documentation.

  • Strip, crimp, and solder wires, connectors, and cable assemblies.

  • Use power tools, drills, and other equipment.

  • Familiarity with common inspection tools such as calipers and voltmeters.

  • Perform machine setup, run machines, and processes where applicable.

  • Adhere to Quality Policy and Procedures, OSHA guidelines, and workplace safety regulations.

  • Perform other duties as requested by the supervisor.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency with voltmeters, electrical assembly, blueprints, schematics, wiring, and electrical wiring.

  • Experience with hand tools, soldering, power tools, production, crimping, control panel, panel wiring, and PCB boards.

  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience.

  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics.

  • Knowledge of assembly processes and quality control.

  • General safety, quality awareness, and ISO 9001 knowledge.

  • Interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment with an emphasis on cable or wire harness assembly.

  • Certification with J-STD-001 Soldering Specification or equivalent training/in-house certifications (preferred but not required).

  • Certification with IPC 610 and 620 Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies or equivalent training/in-house certifications (preferred but not required).

Climate-controlled, well-lit assembly room. Each person has their own workstation and tools.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Worth, Texas.
