This position is flexible to be part time or full time, with a minimum need of 25 hours/week between M-F. Examples of acceptable qualifications for this position are:

• You will be a past consumer of mental health or substance abuse services with a history of managing one's own illness OR have experience walking along side someone's journey towards recovery.
• You will have awareness of the importance of recovery in living with a mental illness or addictions problem.
• You will have past experience working directly with people in a service oriented field
• Reliable transportation, as travel within the community and transportation of clients will be required.

Write Your Next Chapter. In this role, you will provide peer support to people in your community who are facing challenges you understand. You will improve their recovery. Be part of our multi-disciplinary team. You will make a difference. In this grant funded position, you will provide individual ongoing coaching. Show people how to use community resources. Assist them in increasing their support networks - relatives, friends and significant others. Offer encouragement in times of crisis. Advocate for and protect their rights. Help reduce stigma. Partner with others involved in the client's recovery plan. You will matter. You will have a valid driver's license, earn CPR/First aid certification, and be willing to submit to a background check and finger printing. In this role you will regularly use various computer apps including Microsoft Office, our HRIS, EHR and other online systems, with multiple logins often simultaneously. This position has the opportunity to be flexible for part time OR full time for the right candidate. Who are we?
