Job Summary To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, were looking to add a Customer Chief Engineer located in Farmington Hills, MI. Reporting to the VP, Design, Process, and Technology Engineering the Customer Chief Engineer role involves working with Engineering Leaders, Manufacturing Operations Management, Product Managers and other Engineering and Operational functional leaders, to lead several Design & Engineering teams involved in the design, validation and implementation of innovative and cost effective product solutions of varying scope in order to meet customer requirements from development of conceptual prototypes and architecture through development into full-scale production. What a typical day looks like: Direct and control the activities of broad functional area through several senior Design & Engineering managers involved in activities such as designing, developing, modifying and evaluating integrated circuitry for electronic equipment and systems Partner with other leaders to establish objectives and action plans Ensure the development of Design & Engineering solutions for diversified industry segment covering a wide range of products and volume mixes Ensure budget, schedules and performance indicators meet corporate guidelines Provide technical and strategic guidance to subordinate directors to ensure achievement of goals and objectives Develop and continuously improve people, methods, systems, processes and metrics in a complex and rapidly changing environment to improve customer satisfaction Organize and lead reviews to ensure projects are delivered on time, as per cost targets and within quality specifications The experience were looking to add to our team: Typically requires a Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent experience and training 8 years of management experience Strong communication skills Proven success creating and/or improving processes P&L experience What youll receive for the great work you provide: Full range of medical benefits, dental, vision Life Insurance Matching 401K PTO Tuition Reimbursement Employee discounts at local retailers HL45 Job Category Design, Process & Technology Engineering Is Sponsorship Available?
