Job Description:

Serves as key technical expert in an area of expertise or across multiple areas, providing strategic consulting to internal or external clients. Designs, defines, and implements IT infrastructures for optimal operability that meet business objectives.

GDIT JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Provides strategic advice on the design and implementation of technology solutions to meet business needs.

• Collaborates with project managers, developers, customers, and other teams to provide technical solutions.

• Assists the project manager and business analyst to communicate requirements, track progress, and facilitate discussion between business and technical staff.

• Leads development teams and participates in hands-on in architecting solutions and development.

• Identifies capabilities, gaps, similarities, and relationships to other systems/processes across the program.

• Assists the project manager and technical writer to maintain project documentation.

• Assesses and identifies complex internal and external IT systems needs and requirements to meet business objectives.

• Analyzes and diagnoses complex IT infrastructures for optimal operability.

• Establishes and implements metrics to optimize team delivery and measure business agility in terms of predictability, reliability, and adaptability.

• Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.

• Provides guidance and leadership to less-experienced technology personnel.

• DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: MS/Information Technology (or equivalent experience), 10+ years of experience

HOW A TECHNOLOGY CONSULTING ADVISOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

● Serves as key technical expert in an area of expertise or across multiple areas, providing strategic consulting to internal or external clients

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

● Education: Four-year degree and/or Applicable experience

● Required Experience: 8+ years of related experience

● Required Technical Skills:

• Relational database modeling and design in Oracle, PostgreSQL, Redshift

• Database query and procedural languages including SQL, PL/SQL

• NoSQL databases such as AWS S3, MongoDB

• JSON and XML parsing and read/write via webservice API such as PostgREST, GraphQL

• Data integration in on-premises and cloud environments with Informatica PowerCenter and AWS cloud technologies

• Unix shell scripting

• UX and middleware development with AngularJS, Oracle APEX, .NET, or similar frameworks

• Data visualization with Qlik Sense, PowerBI, Oracle Analytics, or similar tools

• Agile methodology using Jira and Confluence

● Security Clearance Level: Public Trust

● Required Skills and Abilities: Must have excellent command the English language, both orally and in writing.

The likely salary range for this position is $106,371 - $177,632. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
