Aerotek Lead Electrician in Fairfax, Virginia

Aerotek's client is looking for a Journeyman level Electrician working on Data Centers in Northern Virginia Area.

Responsibilities:

  • In charge of many skill levels of electricians and place them on tasks at their skill level

  • Establishing and adjusting work sequences to meet the service/construction schedule for the project.

  • Plans, Organizes and coordinates delivery or scheduling of project materials and equipment.

  • Producing layout drawings and code calculations.

  • Reading and interpreting specifications, plans and contract documents and preparing sketches of proposed work.

  • Analyzing and resolving work related problems.

  • Setting, monitoring and enforcing standards in safety, quality, productivity and leadership.

  • Conducting daily jobsite safety and quality control inspections to ensure jobsite and employee safety

  • Ensuring that all deficiencies are corrected in a timely manner.

  • Coordinating work with other Trades and Sub-Contractors on the job site.

  • Executing daily reports regarding the job progress and any problems encountered

  • Holding others accountable for production and quality.

  • Conduct daily morning briefings with your work force to set tasks, goals and receive any questions that may arise

Skills:

  • Journeyman license,

  • Electrical code,

  • Conduit bending

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • At least five years as a supervisor managing crews and schedules.

  • Active journeyman or master electrician license.

  • OSHA-30 Certification

  • Proficient knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), local codes, and construction safety requirements.

  • Contractor Coordination, Procurement & Materials Management

  • Creating project schedules

  • Communication & Interpersonal skills

  • Computer Skills including Word, Excel and Outlook

Experience Level:

  • Expert Level
