Aston Carter Sr. Inventory Accountant in Everett, Washington

Description:

 Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes for inventory accounts, including preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.

 Manage and maintain accurate inventory records, including monitoring inventory levels, reconciling discrepancies, and conducting regular audits.

 Provide support for external audits, including preparing schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.

 Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations and procurement, to ensure accurate recording of inventory transactions.

 Prepare daily and monthly account analysis to ensure accuracy of business transactions occurring in general ledger accounts.

 Prepare and review account reconciliations monthly to ensure accurate completion, and compliance with US GAAP.

 Review inventory procedures to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.

 Assist in the implementation of new inventory management systems or processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

 Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls related to inventory and inventory accounting.

 Stay informed about industry trends and regulations related to inventory accounting and recommend process improvements as necessary.
