At Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA), we are actively seeking talented and diverse Electronic Systems Design & Analysis Engineers (Associate, Experienced, or Senior) to join our inclusive Avionics team in Everett, WA .

Position Overview:

In this role, you will have the exciting opportunity to define and integrate navigation radio systems across our diverse commercial airplane fleet. Your projects will involve analyzing and translating requirements into inclusive system architecture, hardware, software, and interface specifications. Collaborating with a world-class and diverse team, you will contribute to the development of inclusive system components and validate designs through laboratory and airplane testing. Embracing diversity, you will work on airplane systems throughout the entire product lifecycle, from initial concept through certification and delivery, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility for all.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements, with a specific focus on navigation radios, antennas, and control panels.

  • Design hardware, software, and interface specifications for these avionics systems.

  • Test and validate system designs to ensure they meet operational and functional requirements.

  • Monitor supplier performance to ensure seamless system integration and compliance with requirements.

  • Solve problems related to fielded hardware and software throughout the entire product lifecycle.

  • Research and evaluate specific technology advances for potential application to meet company business needs.

Work Authorization:

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Everett, WA

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.

  • 1+ years of experience in an engineering discipline.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Familiarity with engineering processes and methods.

  • Experience with hardware and software design.

  • Experience with model-based development tools.

  • Experience working with cross functional teams.

  • Demonstrated project management skills.

  • Knowledge of FAA / EASA certification.

Typical Education/Experience:

Associate (Level 2): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Experienced (Level 3): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Senior (Level 4): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

  • Associate (Level 2): $85,850 - $116,150

  • Experienced (Level 3): $102,850 - $139,150

  • Senior (Level 4): $128,350 - $173,650
