The Boeing 767 Systems Integration team is looking for Associate, Mid-Level or Senior Systems Integration Engineers to join the 767-airplane program in Everett, Washington. The candidate engineer will work with a dynamic and diverse Systems Integration team that supports the design, configuration, production, certification, and delivery of Boeing Commercial Airplanes. In addition, the Systems Integration team supports the entire Boeing Commercial Airplane fleet in service, supporting resolution to fleet and safety issues, customer commitments, and overall airplane system product strategy.

The candidate may work with Environmental Controls, Mechanical Hydraulics, Flight Controls, Electrical Sub-Systems, Electrical Design and Standards, Flight Deck, Cabin Systems, and Avionics Systems teams, and will collaborate with those teams for issue resolution and new component certification. The candidate may also work with airline customers, suppliers, 767 fleet office, airplane safety engineering, Boeing regulatory administration and Boeing Defense, Space and Security. This opportunity will provide the engineer with a detailed exposure of the core systems components at the heart of each a specific airplane model, and provides an ideal technical and leadership growth pathway.

This is an ideal position for engineers seeking to broaden their knowledge of systems architectures, change management processes while at the same time getting exposure to airplane programs executive level decision making.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead and/or Support Factory Stabilization, Change Incorporation & Refurb, and Change Management efforts when required.

  • Daily integration across cross-functional value stream teams & key stakeholders to ensure the execution of the design, implementation, test & validation of the overall solution using project management best practices.

  • Partners with appropriate stakeholders to ensure understanding across the systems engineering teams for certification and airplane level integration.

  • Lead and/or Support the certification effort for new Systems components, Software updates, or parts obsolescence replacements.

  • Partners with Airplane Systems IPTs to ensure adequate requirements definition, verification and validation (V&V) plans, and cross-functional integration.

  • Lead and/or Support to represent Systems for Customer Introductions on ensuring schedule performance, technical completeness, and certification compliance. Act as primarily liaison to ALIT and Customer Engineering for configuration and cross functional IPT issue resolution.

  • Lead and/or Support airplane squawk troubleshooting in support of Flight Test, AC-E, and Delivery.

  • Support both the 767 commercial and 767 tanker platforms including coordination with the in-service fleet and US Air Force customer to support current and future changes to product.

  • Lead and/or Support and resolves cross-functional technical issues leveraging the Boeing Problem Solving Method.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 2 or more years of experience with program management best practices (planning, scheduling, base-lining projects, and/or base-line management).

  • Able to lead by influence outside formal reporting relationships

  • Knowledge/experience defining requirements for production enabling assets

  • Experience with risk mitigation, certification and safety analysis

  • 1 or more years of experience in systems integration or working in cross functional teams

  • 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Typical Education/Experience:

Associate (Level 2)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Mid-Level (Level 3)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Senior (Level 4)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

This position does offer relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Summary pay range Associate (level 2): $87,550 - $118,450

Summary pay range Mid-level (level 3): $104,550 - $141,450

Summary pay range Senior (level 4): $128,350 – $173,650
