KBR M & E Technical Officer in Erbil, Iraq
Title:
M & E Technical Officer
Location - Erbil - 12 weeks on/3 weeks off
Must be a UK Citizen with an existing unbroken residency of more than 5 years in the UK or hold an existing security clearance.
The Role
We seek an experienced Mechanical and Electrical Officer to manage risks, and ensure compliance with industry standards. This role involves overseeing projects across Ministry of Defence (MOD) sites in Iraq, Oman, UAE, and Bahrain.
Responsibilities
Produce and manage contracts, designs, and specifications
Oversee project risk management and compliance with industry standards
Lead mechanical & electrical projects, ensuring HSE compliance and fulfilling CDM 2015 tasks
Maintain clear communication with stakeholders
Conduct site inspections for quality, safety, and progress
Resolve technical issues and oversee repairs
Manage personnel, resources, and act as site manager
Prepare cost estimates and technical inspections
Use commercial software for design and planning
Produce bills of quantities and design drawings
Liaise with clients, contractors, and authorities
Champion a positive Health and Safety culture
What we Need
HND in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering together with proven relevant experience.
Qualified to 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations
Practical quantifiable experience in all aspects of Electrical installations
Experience in all aspects of construction site management
Hold valid DE certification of relevant discipline
Hold a valid (3-day standard) First Aid certificate
Hold an Authorised Person appointment in a Mechanical or Electrical discipline, as per JSP 375 Volume 3
