Responsibilities

The Financial Crimes Investigator assesses and independently conducts external and internal investigations, supporting victim members and business units with fraud mitigation and recovery efforts. The position uses various systems to collect and research information pertinent to cases. Concurrently investigates multiple cases. responsibilities include interviewing witnesses and suspects, creating financial profiles, tracing financial transactions, and reviewing background information on suspects. The Financial Crimes Investigator documents key data in the case management system, completes investigative field work, andcommunicates the results in work products used by Anti-Money Laundering, credit union management, and law enforcement. The role will generally make decisions independently but consults with the Senior Financial Crimes Investigator or Financial Crimes Management on more complex issues involving considerable financial risk or increased reputation exposure. The Financial Crimes Investigator makes decisions regarding fee returns, offsetting accounts, member account adjustments, and case direction. The position performs recovery efforts and coordinates restitution with members. Additionally, the position assists law enforcement with their prosecution efforts.

This is a hybrid opportunity that will require you to be in office at our headquarters (Enola, PA) 2-3 days per week. The position may require in-person training.
